    Hi,

Setup A2D-### Did you do it for all references? or for specific reference?

What you have done is for a single entity (manual work), by default (auto-wizard) Dynamics is going to show you specific length in the format(######)
You can adjust the auto generated number sequences anytime after those are generated.

    Hello ,

When you create the number sequence make sure the largest value in the setup section equals the number of alphanumeric digits you had set up.

I am not aware of any way in the standard system that would allow you modify the number hash(#) during the auto-setup/wizard. I am suggesting you change the format to your choice, after the system generates it for you.

    Hi Siva1990,

Creating a number sequence manually and using the wizard are two distinct tasks. The wizard is taking the smallest and largest number from settings coded by a developer per number sequence reference. The length can be different for that reason, but you would need to review all generated numbers if it would give enough growth for your business. A different length based on the largest value is determining the number of hashes for reserving the number length.
