Dynamics SL - Export to Excel

Posted on by 1,599

My client  is having issues using the "Export to Excel" feature.  Specifically when doing an F3 look up.  For example, if they do a vendor id looking, normally they could right click on the search grid and choose "Export to Excel".  The search list will then drop into excel.  Instead when selected, the user gets a blank screen.

They are on SL2015 and work from a terminal server.  Other users on the same terminal server can export to excel OK.  I'm not aware of any visible difference between the users; in fact the user with the issues may have higher permissions than the others.  Any thoughts as to why the export fails?  Again this is SL2015 and they are using Office 2016.  Please advise.  Look forward to a reply.

    Dear JG,

You also might disable any 3rd party add ons , and run a "repair" on excel program , a repair is ran from the Control Panel , Programs and features. This has helped with issues regarding Excel.

Try backing up and deleting the user's profile on the TS.   When they get back in, a new profile will be created and that may solve the problem.
