Hi,

We are using D365, version 8.0. Today we are facing to a new issue, the filters are not working.
When we click on a column, an error message is displayed : Column is not filterable.

I tried 2 solutions:
Solution 1:
Browser issue. In Explorer, there is no issue, however in Google Chrome, there is.
I tried to do a cleanup of the cookies and restoring the default parameters, it works but only once, then on a second click, the issue is back.
Solution 2:
In LCS, I am seeing there is a KB.

Do you think this KB will resolve our issue or this is more a browser problem ?

    Hi Kamel,

    It was related to the type of browser. The fix was provided as platform update which manages the different behaviour of various browsers. But this is a quite old fix. What exact platform update are you currently using?

    Hi Kamel,

    The above mentioned fix is part of PU10. You are on PU15 which should have it included. I know that there were some (quite recent) changes in Chrome which also caused issues which had been resolved in PU20 (or later). Can you try the latest available PU update?

    Hi André,

    We are in version 8.0, we will move into version 8.1.3 witch is on PU23. This will then resolve our issue. However we are on testing process and we will move to the new version only on the end of march. In mean time, do you see any workaround

    Hi Kamel,

    The only workaround would be implementing 8.1.3 earlier. I thought that there is no separate fix for it.

    Hi André,

    Or we can ask users to use Internet Explorer instead in mean time?

    I understood that the issue is exclusively related to Chrome, so we can use Explorer and expecting no issue in the future when using the filters ?

    Hi Kamel,

    IE would be an option. You can also use Edge, but there could be a performance issue due to some settings character might appear after a few seconds while typing. This was also already addressed in a more recent platform update. But what prevents you from updating the platform?

    Hi André,

    We are testing the version 8.1.3 / platform 23 and we will move to this version on then end of March. So I am trying to find a solution for the meantime.

    Some users reported to me that with IE, the filters were working fine yesterday but not today. MS suggested us to restart the IIS.
