facing issue while deleting project node using version control

Hello everyone,

When i am creating one new shared project as Project1 and trying to rename it, it is giving me error as below.

Although it is the new project which firstly come as Project1, then you have to rename it by giving meaning name as usual. but as i remember, once i added the Project1 into version control without renaming it. after that, whenever i create new project it won't allow me to rename it, and i also tried to delete it by check-in but still issue remained.

currently, for creating new project,first i disable the version control and then after creating the project and renaming it, again enabling the version control.

can anyone please tell me how to resolve it?
