I want to add a new tracking inventory dimension and have to utilize it in all posting documents like sales order, purchase order, movement journals etc. I saw invent Dim table in visual studio and see MS has already created inventoryDimension1 - inventoryDimension12 fields. I think I can utilize it to create a new tracking dimension. Can anyone suggest how can I use this as new dimension for the system? Is there any additional technical and functional things involved while using it? I see ISV solutions and vendors are using these fields in some blogs. Can anyone suggest the best solution of using these additional inventoryDimension1 - inventoryDimension12 fields.
