Word layout for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 and office 365

Hi all,

Hope you are having a good day. Trying to create a new report with Custom Report Layouts but when I hit Edit Layout, Microsoft office word opens up and it's empty. Do I need to activate any add-ins or something?

I run Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 and Office 365.

Let me know your thoughts.

Hi Christos,

I think you are missing Layout Import process...

--

-Download Template

open word search for the template and save the document in your computer.

--

- Create new Custom Report Layout

open Custom Report Layouts page

Create new Custom Report Layout based on Report you want to use

import Layout

--

-Edit Report in Word

Select Edit Layout in the Custom Layout Page

Expand the XML Mapping pane

Add Fields

Add repeating line

--

- Import Layout

import layout to NAV

Run Report from Custom Report Layouts page to verify changes

Import Template report

Run report...
