Unable to edit ribbon button for Account entity

Posted on by 1,558

Hello All,

A few days back I made changes to the custom ribbon button and published my changes, now I want to make some adjustments to it. I just noticed while selecting the ribbon XRM Toolbox is not allowing me to edit anything. Please suggest -

Assumption - I am not sure but my assumption is, it might be someone changed to managed solution or entity.

Below is the screenshot, which is showing how it behaves while opening -

    Hi,

Make sure you have latest version of ribbon workbench tool installed

    www.develop1.net/.../ribbonworkbench.aspx

Can you please try from other browser but this should not be an issue.

While clicking on Activate button, it's having the same behavior not allowing me to edit.

Yes, I am using OOB Account entity only.

    Hi Tin Latt,

Can you please right-click on the Activate button and check whether it is allowing you to edit this button or not?

Did you use a modern ribbon editor before?

After looking at the screenshot. I am having the feeling of an out-of-the-box account table.

Let me know if I can provide you with more details.

    Thanks

    Thanks, Abdul for your reply.

It's still having the same issue, I created it the same way as suggested. I have reconfirmed roles, having Admin and customizer roles.

Still it's not edit mode opening from XRM Tool.

    Hi Tin Latt,

Create a new solution and name it Ribbon - Account. Do not check while adding a table to the solution

    • Include all objects
    • Include table metadata

For more details, you will on how to add a table to the solution for ribbon changes you can read my blog: https://powerplatformaw.blogspot.com/2022/09/how-to-show-and-hide-button-based-on.html

Open this newly created solution to Ribbon Workbench.

It may be a role issue. if it is not the role issue then the above solution may work for you.
