I am getting the following error when trying to post an item journal.  I have checked the set up and all items are entered.  Not sure what the issue can be.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi

Have a look at the General Posting Setup table and look for the stated combination. Looks like it does not exist. If the Gen Bus Posting Group should be stated in the journal amend the journal page to show this column. If you are happy with the combination, add it into the Gen Posting Setup. Neil

    Hi BarbaraH,

You have checked the Posting Setups on Item (Gen. Product Posting Group, VAT Product Posting Group and Inventory Posting Group), but you have make this Combination of those posting groups.

By going to Search field type "The General Posting Setup" and complete the setup by selecting the "Gen. Bus. Posting Group" with "Gen. Product Posting Group".

If you find this solution helpful, you can consider this answer as verified answer by clicking Yes.

    Thanks.

    Hi Barbara,

you're missing the setup that is required so system knows where to post cost of stock adjustments to. Open the General Posting Setup and create a new line for combination 'Gen. Prod Posting Group' as blank, and 'Gen. Prod. Posting Group' = COLDCHAMP. In the field 'Inventory Adjustment Account' put the g/l account to post cost of adjustment (other side goes to the stock account).

    Hope that helps.

You need to create a Gen. Bus. Posting with null value and Gen. Prod. Posting Group with COLDCHAMP. Then create a matrix in the Gen. Posting setup for the two.
