Production output warehouse vs sales order warehouse

hi all,

I receive a sales order and it's finished good warehouse (finished goods to be picked up from at the time of shipping) is xyz. I do the production in a different factory of which the finished good warehouse is abc (resource group's output warehouse). I have completed the production and now I have the finished good stock in abc.  How do I get a transfer order created automatically for the finished goods to be moved from abc to xyz ? Any ideas please ?

    Hi John,

Usually you can setup master planning for creating transfers. Are the warehouses in the same site?

    Hi John,

You can setup ABC to be the main warehouse for XYZ and also enable the Refilling option. Then with help of the master planning module you should be able to have transfers created.

    Hi Andre,

    Thanks for your advise.

We also get sales orders for the factory of which abc is the finished good warehouse (means sales orders with finished good warehouse - abc). Can I still apply your solution for the problem I've mentioned above ?

I believe you can only have a main warehouse direction one way...

However you can do this on a per item basis.

So if you go to released items and open Plan > Inventory item you'll find "Change Planned Order Type" under the General Tab. So you can per warehouse decide how this item is supplied.
