You are welcome, with the right versions the Report.dic file is also in sync and so no message.
Keep posting and learning.
Bill,
Very good! That did fix my issue and I also think it fixed the issue with the reports.dic file.
msiexec /update MicrosoftDynamicsGP14-KB3063038-ENU.msp /qb
Thank you much!!!
Reading this tells us that the Database Version of GP2015 is 14.0.725 while the version of the client you are trying to install is 14.0.524
This is a version mis-match.
Your server is running on
GP 2015 R2 dated 5/29/2015
Version: 14.00.0725
MicrosoftDynamicsGP14-KB3063038-

If you have access to CustomerSource you can find the download at mbs.microsoft.com/.../MDGP2015_PreviousPatches.pdf
What is the name of the .msi file?
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the quick reply....I uninstalled and rebooted....reinstalled and did not see the prompt for the reports.dic or that it needed to be upgraded. Here are the messages in the log.

PBoor - when you look at the location in you Dynamics.set file - where is the pointer in the 3rd line - ending in Reports.dic?
If that is the correct location - the one that you had already updated - then I would look at the duinstall file in the Microsoft Dynamics\GP2015\Data folder to see what versions it shows.
This folder is located where ever you installed GP on this machine - but it contains the folders non the less.
On the other matter - 'copy folder from another computer' - this is a solution that I have looked at and done a number of times.
Look at the first parts first - then you can consider the copy as a last resort.
That link was helpful, I was able to run an installation package however it was not successful.
1) Dictionary needs to be upgraded. Use Microsoft Dynamics GP utilities to updated your modified forms and reports. This makes no sense as I am using a reports.dic file that has been converted to GP2015. This was part of the creation of the installation where you open a reports.dic file.
2) You are attempting to configure an older version of product.
I have combed through other links but is there something obvious that i am missing?
There is also another link that seems to have a workaround where you copy the entire contents of the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\GP2015 folder from a stand alone installation.
I could live with that but was inquiring if I was missing the obvious. It would be nice to have a clean process for SCCM.
Thank you for your reply. I am going to try this and will respond accordingly.
