I followeed the link given to me by Ivan Kashperuk in my previous question https://community.dynamics.com/ax/f/33/t/145678.aspx and tested the process. Here are my remarks and questions:

The worker receives Load using “License plate receiving” menu item. First thing he has to input through mobile device is LP number generated during “Create cross-docking packing structure”. Neither the worker nor the vendor knows it. LP will be printed for the first time while performing this operation. How is it expected to fill in LP number in the mobile device?

I faced some difficulties setting Location directive for cross-docking put-away works. According to TechNet:
“You can set up a location directive for purchase orders to direct where incoming cross-docking items should be put. Typically, this will be an area close to the outbound docks. When you set up the query on the Location Directive Actions FastTab in the Location directives form, you can ensure that only specific cross-docking purchase order lines are part of the location directive search. One way to do this is to add the Purch Table Additional Fields table to the query, add the Cross dock field, and then set that field to Yes.”
It’s impossible – first, table TMSPurchTable (its label is Purch Table Additional fields) has no field “Cross dock” and second, the query in tab Location directive actions is not based on PurchLine/PurchTable or other tables related to them. I would suggest to correct the name of the tables in the instruction:
“… When you set up the query on the Location Directive FastTab …
...One way to do this is to add the Purch Order Additional Fields table ....”
NB: The table with label “Purch Order Additional Fields “ is named WHSPurchLine.

I can’t release Transfer order to warehouse before receiving packages because transfer lines are not "physical reserved". Should I set a periodic batch job for “Automatic release of transfer order”? How can I plan then picking works in advance?

Setting Work template for transfer issue I get a message “Field Located license plate ID is not an index field. Do you want to add sorting on this field?” Should I ask the developers to add this field in index?

My package consists of 2 pcs of item A and 2 pcs of item B. I received 5 packages (10 psc of item A, 10 pcs of item B) packed in parent license plate LP-000000027. Nested LPs are with numbers LP-000000022 - LP-000000026. Checking on-hand I see 10 pcs of item A at “cross-docking” location with LP-000000027 and the same for item B.
When I release Transfer order work is created but not using my “cross-docking” location directive “CrossDocking-Transf“ (Stratege = “License plate guided”). Work creation history log explains the reason: “Location directive action CrossDocking-Transf failed because no license plate was found”
