    Hi,

You can find some general information for example here: dynamicbusinesssolutions.ru/.../dbea7eff-3dad-4010-941a-5f9b1f2aada6.htm

Why don't you use the inventory value report instead?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

Thank you for your response and for your advise. I do not have an idea what the inv value report does.

    Hi,

The inventory value report provides you with similar data but is in my opinion more powerful and flexible.

You can google for the whitepaper that has been released some time ago and take a look at the following site to get an idea about this new report blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../how-to-use-inventory-value-report-part1

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi usman786,

    OMG, it's been a while.

Posted quantity: quantity which has been financially updated (sold, purchased).

Deducted: quantity which has been physically updated (but not financially updated) in the 'Issue' direction

Received: quantity which has been physically updated (but not financially updated) in the 'Receipt' direction

Inventory quantity: Posted quantity - Deducted + Received

Registered/Picked: Quantity which have been Registered/Picked only (these will not have hit the financial ledgers yet)

    On-hand: Inventory quantity + Registered - Picked

Deducted - An issue which is not posted financially (A Qty in SO which is updated to packingslip but Invoice yet to be posted)

Received - A receipt transactions which is not posted financially (PO with packingslip updated but not yet invoiced)

Financial Value - Financial cost of the posted quantity

Physical value(Posted) - Total amount for which Pslip posted but invoice not yet posted)

Physical value(not posted) - Total amount "Registration/Picking" is posted but packingslip not yet posted.

    Inventory value - (Financial value+physical value(posted + Not posted)

I too prefer the Inventory value report but be aware that inventory value report can only show the inventory dimensions which are financial inventory enabled. This logic  applies for both Ax 2012 and Dynamics 365 for Operations.
