How to setup Sales Price for a item we are selling per pallet (each Pallet is 12 pcs)

We have an item called "A" that we are selling to a customer. If they buy 12 pcs which fits on a pallet - they get a selling price of $116.56/ Pc - the total pallet will cost 1398.72 (12 x 116.56) but if they order less than 12 pcs or pallet - they get the selling price of $150.00/ Pc.

So if the customer place an order of 15 pcs - 12 pcs will have the selling price of 116.56 while the 3 pcs will have the selling price of 150..00

How do we set this kind up in the Sales Price Table?

On the Item Card - I have added a unit of measurement of Pallet12 showing 12 pcs per carton.

When I tried to setup the sales price - I am getting an error if I change the UOM in the sales price table to Pallet12.

This location is not bin controlled but has a Stock Keeping Unit Setup.

We want to prevent our user from making a mistake and we also do not want to setup another item with a unit of measure of Pallet12 to show that it is 12 pcs per pallet.

    Hi,

I feel that you can set up the "Base Unit of Measure" on the Item as "PCS" and you can set the "Item Unit of Measure" for different measure codes against the "Base unit of Measure".

Please refer the https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh168442(v=nav.71).aspx for setting Item Unit of Measure.

You can set up the "Sales Price" for the "PCS" (in case you wish to deal in PCS too) as well as in "PALLET".

While setting the price for PALLET, you have an option to set the minimum quantity, leave it blank (for the first line) and set the "Unit Price" as 150 and the next line (Minimum Quantity as 12) and set the "Unit Price" as 116.

Please refer this http://www.clientsfirst-us.com/blog/microsoft-dynamics/microsoft-dynamics-nav/pricing-in-microsoft-dynamics-nav/ for setting up the Sales Price.

While making the sales, you need to break up the lines as first line for 12 Quantity and the next line for the balance quantity.  For the line with 12 quantity, the Price will be 116.

Instead of putting the unit price at 116, in the sales price you can have unit of measure(UOM) 'PALLET' and unit price 1398.72.  Hence, in the sales invoice you can have UOM, for the 3 PCS and 1 PALLET as shown below:
