The workflow for canceling an approved time off request is rather the same as the workflow to get approval in the first place.
Is there a way to make a distinction in the Work Items that the manager is assigned to (to approve a time off vs to approve a cancelling of a time off)?

Unfortunately, there is no way of differentiating a cancel request other than using the comment box or setting up a Reason code. However, I read a specific Cancel function is in the pipeline.
