Hello every one I have an error on crm365 on-premises when I want to open setting> data management> data encryption and that error is:

The https protocol is required for this type of request. Enable the https protocol crm 365 and try again

How can I fix this error?

    Hi again Maryam.

Were you able to get this up and running?

    Best regards.

    Hi Maryam.

Not going into details but basically you will need a certificate either via internal certificate authority(aka. CA), self-signed(avoid if possible, and definitely not for production) or purchase one from a public CA, install it on the Dynamics CRM server and add the https binding to its website along with removing the "http" binding as it's not supported to run multiple bindings.
A guide for Business central but the generic steps on IIS are the same(and you don't have to do the redirect described as it's optional)
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/deployment/configure-ssl-web-client-connection

After that you will need to enable https via CRM - Deployment Manager on the Web address tab.
This following guide about configuring IFD will show the tab I'm speaking of and but you don't have to configure IFD but switching from https to https for the url's is necessary to enable data encryption.
Do note that the url's listed should match the certificate SAN DNS names witch could either be your server host name fully qualified domain name(aka fqdn) or an alias.

I would recommend you ask for help from of your IT Admins, server operators e.g. if you have any as they should know the details on the steps of configuring a IIS website with https and enrolling the certificate.

    Hope this helps!

    Best regards.
    Philip
