Ledger Allocation vs Cost Accounting Allocation Base /Policies

Hello, 

Can someone help me understand the difference Ledger Allocation vs Cost Accounting Allocation Base/Policies? 

I did read through Microsoft docs but still confused about how to apply these two concepts in real projects. 

Appreciate if you could share real scenarios that applies these two concepts?

    Hi,

    Ledger allocation creates voucher transactions but cost accounting module doesnt. Cost accounting module is just for reporting purposes and copies data into the module and can do versioning.
