Hi,

I need to send an automatic reminder email to opportunity owners if the opportunity modified-on date is more than 12 months.

Please suggest how can I achieve this.

Hi Jayaa,

Using flow would be an appropriate solution.

Go to https://us.flow.microsoft.com/en-us/ and select the D365 environment.

Then click Create > Scheduled flow.

Enter the flow name and select the starting date, select Repeat every to 1 day.

You can choose the starting date as the time when employees start working every day, or in the middle of the night.

Then set flow as follow.

Among them,

The expression of "Filter Query" in "List records" is addDays(utcnow('yyyy-MM-ddTHH:mm:ssZ'),-365)

The expression of "Select an output from previous steps" in "Apply to each 2" is union(variables('Onwner'),variables('Onwner'))

The condition is items('Apply_to_each_2')

The expression in "Compose" is replace(body('Create_HTML_table'),'<table>','<table border="1" style='border-collapse:collapse'>')

The expression of "Item identifier" in "Get record" is items('Apply_to_each_2')

The effect of this flow is that all the users who own opportunity records that “Modified On” field is 12 months ago will receive an email every day, it list the Opportunity records that “Modified On” field is 12 months ago .

Thanks Hao. Microsoft flow is available in on-premise as well?

Hi Jayaa,

Unfortunately, Microsoft flow is not available in on-premise.

You have to write a plug-in for on-premise.

Is it possible to get those screen shots bigger as I can't see how it is completed. As I am trying to do this, but I can't figure out how just break it out to the single owners, as I have done it it shows one big list, and I dont want to send the big list to every owner, I just want to send what is theirs.

Hi Lu Hao,

I am trying to copy this rule as I want to send a reminder to account owners of when a contract is due for renewal 6/7 months out from the renewal date.

He is a screenshot of what it currently looks like when i attempt to copy your approach:

List records is showing as a premium feature?? And this seems to be different to your screenshot too but Im guessing there have been updates. Is there a way of completing this using the old workflow method? Where I am struggling with this method is I dont have a trigger. The accounts are in the system, the renewal dates are in the system so I dont know what trigger to use to get my workflow to fire.

Any additional help would be great as this would be a fantastic feature to have. I have also tried search for a video tutorial to follow but havent found anything online to date on this.

"List records" (now it called "List rows") is an action of Dataverse.

Thanks for quick response. Still running into difficulties with this. Do you know if there is a video that i could follow on this perhaps? Sorry for all the questions, would really love to get something like this working for us.

OK, thank you as always. I attempted to upload this as you mentioned but the upload keeps failing. I downloaded the file in a zip file but it wont load.

Ill keep looking for a solution, thank you for your time on this.
