ECC no must have a value in Location Code.

Hi Experts,

I have two Location exclusively for Sales (no manufacture).

While selecting one location, "ECC no must have a value in Location Code" error is displaying.

I think the error means that location should give excise registration number.

But the company is not doing any manufacture, but performing only trading.

Please help.

Do you have excise component in your structure?

Let me know on which transaction this error occurred. This error generally occurred when system is trying to post the record in excise related tables.

    Hi Saurabh,

There is no excise component in the structure.

This error occurred while selecting 'Location' in the 'Shipping Tab' in the 'Sales Order'

For the time being, I have used an alphabet for ECC Code.

    Thanks

    JO

Please check with your developer, it seems to be customized.

    Hi,

I have checked the business logic and on event of updating the location code on sales header. system validate the same on sales line with field "Direct Debit To PLA / RG" and it is also written to check ECC number on location card.

In our implementations, we are generally creating one dummy ECC number for all trading locations and assigning it.

    Hi Saurabh,

For the time being, I have used an alphabet for ECC Code.  This means dummy.

    Thanks for confirming my instance
