Hi Michalis,
in the misc. details tab you have a lot of fields available where you can add those details.
What is more, you can add a contact that you can link to your customer account ans for which you can record a lot of additional details.
Best regards,
Ludwig
So to elaborate a bit on the correct answer given by Ludwig.
There is a global address book that holds all contact information. This is related to a contact person, so if you are on a customer of type business you would to the contacts and from there you will find these fields. In here you will find all the fields you mentioned about a person. If the customer is of type: person you can find this info by going to the global address book entry for this person. It should be linked in the top part of your customer/contact info.
The other data is located under demographics tab on your customer...
Thanks a lot for the replies.
I think for persons and contacts it is clear. However for companies I do not know what alternatives are. for example where I can record data like: Customer Turnover & Profits, Nr of Staff etc. Miscel tab has some information but it is not customizable.
BR,
You can either add an additional field in the misc. tab or rename and reuse an existing one that is not needed.
However, when recording things such as turnover & profits, no. of staff, etc. you have to be a bit careful, as those data regularly change. You have to define whether you want to record only the latest data or also historical ones in order to create a customer history. Maybe making use of the attachments functionality is the best option for this purpose?!
Hi Ludwig,
I think the solution is to add an additional field (in this way I may find all customers with turnover > xxxx USD). As you mentioned :) how can we add a user defined table (like turnover history) to customer?
Regarding the user defined table; here you have to get a developer involved. My poor development skills won't help you to get this correctly implemented in a live environment.
Suggestion:
Create a new thread that you classify with the SDK tag and describe your requirement about the new table in more detail so that the development experts can easily find it and guide you how to code it.
Clear,
Thanks a lot!
