User Personalization Issue

Hi All,

I had one user is assigned User Personalization as Accountant.

User Group Personalization also is Accountant.

But there are few times, user feedback to me the Role Center become IT Manager.

When I check in User Personalization page and it's true.

Anyone have idea of how this issue happened?

I am the only admin who have the right to change.

    Hello All,

    This issue happens if you managed permission via User Groups. In fact, when you update the user group in the User Card the program will update the User Personalization ; i.e.= it will assign the Profile that is configured for the User Group. If the Profile on Use Group is blank then the program will assign the Default Profile or the SMALL BUSINESS profile (because it is defined in NAV code).

    To avoid this issue (bug?), I created a small function that updates the user profile whenever I change a user group setup on a user.

    Hi Kuro,

    If you set up the change log you can trace it.

    First of all you have to do a small code change. because Change Log Setup (Table) List won't allow you to select User Personalization table.

    Standard filter 0 to 2000000000.

    There are two places you have to change in Page 593 Change Log Setup (Table) List to enable User Personalization table.

    1. OnOpenPage()

    Activate the Change Log Entry and enable User Personalization table.

    Next time when the complain about this you can check Change Log Entries and see what has happened.

    If he connects with the same credentials and same company, it’s not possible. Have you reproduced this?
