Hello All Expert,

I am new at Project management and accounting and started working on D365.
I am working on Fixed Price project type. First in Project Group on

Revenue Recognition field : Completed Percentage

Calculation Method : None

Matching Principle: Sales Value

After creating project I created one hour forecast line and after that created on on account transaction line.
Created one hour journal.
While estimates its showing 100% on the percentage completion and I am not getting the reason behind that. I tried 3-4 times.

In Hour Forecast I used 100 hrs, cost amount 20000, sales amount 30000
On account transaction Sales value 50000
Hour journal 20 hrs Cost amount 400
but still it is showing 100% in estimates. Please help me into that. I will be grateful, working on it from 3-4 days.
Thanks in Advance

    Hi,

    #1)

Are you doing manual progress billing or automatic? That has an impact, because you must then tell the system, in the billing rule, what are your chargeable categories?

    #2)

Have you set up a contract value in the billing rule? That is mandatory for % calculation

    Hi,

What forecast model did you select when you run the estimate?

The one that includes your hour forecast or something else?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    HI Team,

Just check your cost template is configured properly. If the estimation is based on Hour quantity the completion bases should be quantity as shown in below screenshot.
