Hi there
would someone be able to differentiate the directive code found on the following forms
- location directive, work template and mobile device
Are they just a linkage on both three form or serves a different purpose

I have the same question (0)Hi talakitokito,
Directive code is the link between work template lines and location directives.
So I have a work template like this
Work type Directive code
Pick
Put Stage
Pick
Put
So for the put line no 2 which has a directive code stage Dynamics will find a put location directive which has the same directive code.
This gives business the ability to pin point exactly which location directives should be used for which pick and put operation.
for mobile device I believe you mean work template field?
Can you share the mobile device name or screenshot for better clarity.
Microsoft definition
This field is a link between the work templates and the location directives. If the directive code is blank, then Warehouse Management evaluates the work step to find a location directive with a blank directive code. If the directive code is not blank on the work template, then Warehouse Management accesses the location directives to find a directive with the specific directive code.
