Hi,
I am working on a business case, where the company has partly transitioned to RTM.
They have journeys in RTM, but are using the subscription center in Outbound Marketing, including four subscription lists, one for each of their main segments.
Typically, a contact subscribe to several newsletter lists or topics...
Now they are moving to a new tenant, so everything will be migrated.
The new tenant will have RTM only, so we need to set up a new compliance profile and preference center.
The DoNotBulkEmail and DoNotEmail will be migrated with the contact table.
But what is best practice in terms of migrating subscription lists to ensure the Many-to-Many relationship between subscriptions and contacts?
- Is it best practice to re-create the subscription lists as marketing lists in the new tenant, then upload consent into topics, as opt-in?
- Any experience with the upload consent functionality in consent center?
- Or is it a better practice to ask customers to re-commit their preferences?
- Possibly create two-options field at the contact entity for each of the subscription lists, then create segments based on these attributes?
- The last option, create multiple compliance models, but then, I think contacts won't have the option to choose from different topics.
I plan to use the upload consent functionality in the consent center, once I have decided on the best way forward to migrate consent and set up one or several compliance profiles.
