Individual line sales tax on one invoice

When inputing a workorder in Astea, material is taxable and our service is non taxable how do I do this without getting an error code? Is it possible? Our customers would like everything on one invoice. I was told that we would have to create 2 invoices for the same service. One for material which is taxed and one for service which is non-taxable. There has to be a solution. Please help!
