AIF Inbound Ports access via SOAP UI

Hi,

I'm using dynamics AX 2012 R2 and i'm trying to access Inbound Ports via different Webservices(SOAP UI for testing right now).

i created a Inbound Port via Services and Application Integration Framework, in which i added the CustCustomerService.create as ServiceOperation.

I tried implementing the WSDL in SOAP UI for testing purpose but it didn't even display a login or anything else.

Is there any other way how i can generate a Webservice in which i can send and write data to AX?

Are there any specific settings i have to make for enabling inbound ports for other Services?

thanks in advance

    Hi,

you shouldn't see any login - you are directly logging in with your AD user (and their permissions in AX).

I don't have experience with SOAP UI - but the following instructions from MSDN should be a good start msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh352231.aspx. Can you try that?

(You have to activate the port before using it, but I assume you saw that)

Let us know more details, if this doesn't help.

    Kind regards,

    Annette

    Hello Kami

I agree with Annette, there is no login and the user has to be a registered AX user with the proper permissions.

In our case, we import data over inbound AIF ports and let the process create general journals in general ledger module. To achieve the appropriate permissions, we created a role which includes the permission for the *.create method of the AIF service class and the LedgerJournalTable and LedgerJournalTrans tables.

Please complete the role with the objects that have to be granted in your case.

    Regards, Hans-Peter

    Hi,

    thanks for your answer.

I think i have now a  better understanding of what i have to do.

The problem i have is that for the program i want to connect to Dynamics AX for data synchronisation is MUM. Therefore i have to build Java Files via a build tool - which doesn't accept the syntax of the Dynamics Ports... which means i have to write my own Webservice which provides a WSDL in a form that i can use for the build tool to generate Files... and this Webservice has to transfer the data back to AX...

    Sounds like much work.
