Using Dynamics CRM online, how do I create non-unique database indexes to speed up searches by a specific field? I can see there is a "keys" feature but that enforces uniqueness which is no good for me

In dynamics crm online version 9, database indexes created automatically as and when required. If you are facing more than normal slowness in search please raise a ticket with MS support team to take a look at it in depth.
Thanks very much. I haven't done any performance testing but I'm a software developer building an app that uses common data services so I was thinking about indexing as part of the schema design.
Do you know of any documentation describing this?

Check below link which suggests you can raise microsoft ticket to add your indexes if you really need that as part of schema deign for your app.
