INVENTORY ADJUSTMENT ERROR

I am trying to adjust inventory and getting the following error

Phys. Inventory must be equal to 'No'  in Item Journal Line: Journal Template Name=PHYS. INV., Journal Batch Name=DEFAULT, Line No.=2880000. Current value is 'Yes'.

any idea what this error means and how can it be fixed?

    is the location where you tried to adjust the item for is a directed location? If yes, you need to use warehouse physical inventory journals. physical inventory journals are for non-directed locations and that might be the reason you got the error.

    However, another thing to note is that user normally uses item journals or warehouse item journals to make adjustment for items depending on location setup.

    So unless you are doing a count, physical inventory journals shouldn't be used.
