Quantity limit Supplementary Item

Hi everyone,

As i expect Quantity Limit field in Supplementary item - customers screen is the maximum quantity of Supplementary item. But it did not happen as i expected.

This is my reference: http://dynamicbusinesssolutions.ru/axshared.en/html/20c6b9d5-5ff0-4278-9f51-6314a6882a91.htm

Here is my scenario:

Quantity Limit = 2, multiple quantity = 5, supplementary quantity = 1.

And Sales line with quantity of sold item = 20 => quantity of supplementary = 20/5 *1 = 4. As i expect, D365 will show = 2, because limit =2.

Can anyone experience this issue

Many thanks,

Quynh Nhu

    Hi Quynh,

The quantity limit field via the supplementary item form has a different purpose. The quantity limit field determines the minimum quantity for which the system will calculate the supplementary items. Eg. if the quantity limit = 5, the customer needs to order at least 5 items before the supplementary item applies.

    Hi,

The quantity limit field is used to specify the quantity of the original item that will trigger the replenishment item. Not the quantity of replenishment item.

    Quantity limit:

      • Here quantity limit refers “Number of least quantity (on PO line) to trigger supplementary item/qty”.

      Multiple quantity:

Multiple qty work in a way that makes pair of numbers of quantity ordered in PO,

      For an illustration:

Where the multiple qty will be as blank.

      Parameter.

      • Multiple qty= Blank
      • Qty limit= 2
      • Supplementary qty= 5

      Calculation:

      • PO order qty in line= 6

      Supplementary qty will be 5

Where the multiple qty will be as 1.

      Parameter.

      • Multiple qty= 1
      • Qty limit= 2
      • Supplementary qty= 5

      Calculation:

      • PO order qty in line= 6(1+1+1+1+1+1)

      Supplementary qty will be 30.

Where the multiple qty will be as 2.

      Parameter.

      • Multiple qty= 2
      • Qty limit= 2
      • Supplementary qty= 5

      Calculation:

      • PO order qty in line= 6(2+2+2)

      Supplementary qty will be 15.
