HI

I have one machine(work station) with windows xp prof sp3  like serveur; and sql server express (on nav cd)

on client pc one i try to connect with nav classic with sql to datbase i have this error: the " Server 192.x.x.x is not accessible "

nb/ on tehe server i have no probleme

    Hi,

    If you can access the SQL server when on the actual machine, but not remotely it is probably a network or firewall issue,

    Check that you are able to connect to the server from the remote PC by connecting to a shared folder (Enable file sharing if you have to)

    Next make sure it is not the firewall on the PC's start by disabling the windows firewall on both the server and client PC

    Lastly make sure it is not the antivirus, shut that down as well on both

    Once you have figured out the issue make sure to re-enable the firewall and anti virus
