We are in the process of migrating from Business Central On-Premises to Business Central SaaS. Currently, I am using Power BI to visualize transactional data. However, I am facing issues while creating a connection in Power BI Dataflows to fetch data from Business Central SaaS.
While trying to connect Power BI Dataflows to Business Central SaaS via Web Services, I am encountering the following error:
Error Message:
"An exception occurred: Expression.Error: The environment 'https://businesscentral.dynamics.com/xxxxxxxxxxxx' does not exist. Tenant: xxxxxxxxxxxx . (Session ID: xxxxxxxxxxxxx, Region: Europe)"
It seems like the region difference might be causing this issue. Could you please guide me on how to resolve this error?
Instead of using Dataflows, I am looking for the best approach to load data first and then transform it before using it for reporting. What would be the recommended method to achieve this in an efficient and scalable way?
Your guidance on both the error resolution and the best data extraction approach would be highly appreciated.
