AX2012 SSRS Unable to log on to Microsoft Dynamics AX

Hi

We get the 'Unable to log on to Microsoft Dynamics AX.' error when starting a standard report of AX. The report server is configured well on AX and Windows side. The SSRS user has rights for the SQL Server DB and even AX, the server accepts remote connections.  An eventlog warning said 'Unable to get version information using existing WCF configuration from local storage.'.

So where else the access rights must be defined?

Thanks for help, Jan

RE: AX2012 SSRS Unable to log on to Microsoft Dynamics AX

    Hi,

I had the issue for more than a week and did the following checks and restarted the server, Issues was fixed.

    1. Ax service account should be Domain\axbcproxy
    2. SQL reporting services service account should be Domain\axbcproxy
    3. SQL reporting configuration execution account Domain\axbcproxy
    4. AX>>system Administration >> System >> System service accounts >> Business Connector proxy >> alias - bxproxy  domain: <your domain>
    5. AX >> system Administration >> Server configuration - ensure that there are no AOS server instances in this form which doesn't belong to the current application. if a wrong instance name is found you can delete it.
    6. Ensure that BIservices service is deployed in the Inbound ports under AIF.
    7. Update the WCF configuration by clicking refresh configuration in AX client configuration.
    8. Restart reporting server and AOS server.
    9. Start AX >> reports should be working by now...

    All the best guys

    Hi Jan,

You will have to make sure that non admin users have sufficient access to browse the reports.

If you are using SSRS in native mode you simply need to add i.e domain users as "System user" on that instance and then grant same domain group the DynamicsAXBrowser role.

Check this link for more info:

    technet.microsoft.com/.../hh271484.aspx

    Also Check

Setting the Reporting Services Execution Account to the same user as the Dynamics AX Service Account.

    For WCF-configuration check this post:

Thank you Ajit!  Changing the Business connector proxy account did the trick.

Just define the Business connector proxy account in System service accounts form and it will work.

    Hi,

i did have the same problem. My solution...

Check SQL Integration Service - this service have to be execute / running.

Then create a new WCF-configuration on SSRS-Server and AOS-Server. And now the reporting-services should running more then few minutes.

    Best regards Jo
