I'm receiving an error message when trying to import from Excel through data migration in NAV 2009. Is there a fix for this error?

Error: The message is for C/AL programmers:

The call to member selectSingleNode failed. msxml6.dll returned the follwoing message:

Expected token 'EOF' found '$'.

OutstandingAmount -->$<--

    I am receiving the same error. Was a resolution ever found for this?

    There's no $ sign in the import, but I just tried saving the Excel worksheet as an XML file and that also received the same error message.

    I think its the excel, can you copy and paste the data in text file and check the $ sign if it appears.

    I have tried importing small pieces of data and I've received the same error message every time. I'm also not importing anything into the Outstanding Amount ($) field, which is what the error looks to be the issue. I'm wondering if something is stuck somewhere.

    Check Migration Table Field (table 8613), are there any strange field names for the table for migration? Also, try importing data in smaller chunks (e.g., test with just few records to import).
