Hi Everyone
One of the user who has delete access to the form isn't able to see the new menu item in pending vendor invoice form in one of the UAT environments (10.0.8) . This behaviour is not reproduceable in other environments (dev or test). I tried copying the same permission as the user on my dev machines I am able to see the new button but not in the UAT environment. We had created a custom new button and have assigned the same menu item name with Needed permission as "Update" . Any advice on what could have went wrong or where to look in. I have disabled and enabled the user and tried but it dint work. The is no change in code in dev and UAT environment.
Thanks Krishnendu

Adding to the above information I was checking on the security configuration from the application for the specific role and privilege I could see the license type is "Team Members" ..
Is there any difference between license types (teams members & operations) which may cause the issue
Hi Krishnendu,
Can you tell how you did deploy the customizations on the UAT environment? What exact security changes are made to grant access to this new custom menu item?
You can see what license type each entry point has in the AOT by checking properties.
MaintainUserLicense and ViewUserLicense.
In D365FO this hierarchy include three levels:
Operations (will be listed as Enterprise in AOT).
Activity.
Team Members (will be listed as Universal in AOT).
About License, you can refer this: https://www.mercuriusit.com/wp-content/uploads/Mercurius-IT-Microsoft-Dynamics-365-Licensing-Guide.pdf
Hi Andre,
Its pointing to UAT branch and dll is deployed.
We created a new button assigned the same menu item display(PurchFormLetter_NewInvoiceDisplay) to the button and changed the new buttons property needed permission to update.
We created a new custom role and assigned the privilege to the role.
Do we need to add the users to teams for that legal entity and set the teams in legal entity form?
thanks
krishnendu
the license is set to universal so if the access is set to delete the entry point maintain user license "Universal" will be used which is teams I presume... and the entry point needed permission is set update which is less than delete.
I don't understand why the user cant see the button.

Can you tell how you did exactly add the menu item on a new privilege with what properties?
Did you use a deployable package to move the customizations or is it linked to DevOps build manually on the UAT?
Hi All,
The issue was with other roles which was overriding the access.. we have identified the role which was having No access to the menuitem...after removing the role its working fine.
Thank you everyone for your response and time.
