We are currently using NAV 2009 system. My concern is about how to enable closing entries per period (monthly) in the set up menu. By permitting this set up, We can control and monitor the entries every period-end. Please provide me a detailed process.

Hi Magil,
we have a modification where we can close every single period. But "close" only means "if you post with a date in this period and you have the permission to do so, the entries will be marked as prior-year entries." So, not very much.
To achieve true control you need to make sure that if a period is marked as closed (as you mean it), no posting routine can post entries into this date range. That's what we implemented too, but with an additional field "prevent postings" in the accounting period. This is not standard NAV behaviour, it must be customized by your NAV partner or your in-house developers.
