mix and match discounts not allowing 'enable' status

I am setting up a mix and match discount for two items. for example lets call them Item A and Item B.

the discount is 'buy Item A and get Item B free' (but you could still buy Item B on its own at full price).

I have set the price/discount type to 'line spec' then created a line group where number of products needed is 2. I have put both Item A and Item B in the 'lines' area, and applied the line group to both lines.

Item A is discount% = 0.00 and Item B is deal price =0.00

I cant enable the promotion because of an error saying 'The discount can’t be enabled. All the lines in a mix and match discount must have a line group.'

BUT both lines have a line group!

I have tried also using a different line group for each line with the same result :(

any ideas please?

To configure this kind of discount follow the steps-

    1. Add two Mix and match line groups both having "number of products needed" as 1 . Suppose you add C and D.

    2. Now add item a and item B.

    3. Select line specs under Price/Discount.

    4.  Now under lines give 0 % discount to item A and select Discount % under discount type.

    5. Attach line group C to item A.

    6. Also give 100% discount to item B and select Discount % as discount type.

    7. Attach line group D to item B.

    8. enable the discount.

If you still face any error. Kindly provide the screenshot to look at the configuration.

Can you show the screenshot of the Mix and match line group.

I guess you have selected other than C and D line groups in the Mix and match line groups form.

You can try deleting the Mix and match line groups and lines and add them again or alternatively try to create the same discount again.

Hello Ann-Marie. In case you're still facing this problem, it is caused by other discounts already created in your implementation that are missing the line groups. Should be easily fixed by deleting or "fixing" the lines of all the other discounts you also have created before.
