Field "request id" must be filled in - HRM worker user request

Playing in an empty AX 2012 R2 on a testserver without data. Trying to enter a worker user request in the HRM module. I want to see the link between workers and the request to create a user in the system administration module (workflow) in action to understand how it works. Filled in all fields except for an e-mail address based on a dummy worker I created just before.

Error message:

"Field 'request id' must be filled in".

But I don't see a field 'request id' in my form User Request Details. I am forgetting something (set-up?), or not looking at the right location. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi,

Please go to HR -> Setup -> Human resources shared parameters. Go to number sequences tab and see if you have a number sequence code setup for "User request ID".

By the way, you may consider to play with an AX2012 R2 instance with demo data (rather than an empty one ) so that you don't have to set up as much parameters/master data.

    Hi Dolle,

I have a issue in the position master of AX 2012 HRMS.

In AX 2012 HRMS position hierarchy, consider “B” reports to “A”, where in A has been assigned to position “1” and B to “2”. Later when both A and B are terminated, the positions “1” and “2” will become open positions (active). To make them inactive positions, the position duration is updated (Predate and time) in the position form, which further will make the inactive positions and also they will not be visible in the position hierarchy form. But actually they are visible and status is mentioned as “Open Position” in the position hierarchy form despite the positions being in the inactive positions form.

How do we solve this issue?

Secondly, if “C” reports to “B”, “B” to “A”, “A” to “X” in AX 2012. If “B” resigns and his/her position is made inactive, then as per functionality the “C” should report to “A” but in AX 2012 HRMS it is not happening so. “C” is mapped directly to “X” despite “A” being active.

How to map “C” to “A” in AX 2012?

    Hi Santhosh,

I am not sure about this. I suggest you start a new thread with this question, others might already know the answers!
