IMPORT CHART OF ACCOUNTS USING AN XML PORT.

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello guys,

I want to import my chart of accounts into one specific company in my database. I'm using Navision 2016. Anyone with an idea on how to go about this?

Regards.

    Hi Eddie,

I believe playing with the chart of Accounts is a very sensible job so doing this through XML PORT will probably increase the complexity level as you need to play with each specific columns. I will strictly suggest to use rapid-start for this.

    Dear EddieSS ,

Also note that Importing it will be a easy task but configuaring and managing it little bit tricky ,

Be careful because cart of account will be the Heart of the system

if you miss any indent , GL no configuring , and etc. your system will become worst

I strongly recomend if you haven strong idea about to handle refer follwing few vedios

I would suggest to use Rapidstart package rather than XMLPORT which is more easier to user

    Check this www.youtube.com/watch

    For XMLPORT www.youtube.com/watch

Best option would be prepare COA in excel and paste it into table no 15

There are different ways to import this

    1) You can use Rapidstart services

    2) You can use XMLPORT

    3) You can prepare chart of account of in excel file and paste it into the table 15 by opening it from developer environment.

    Hi,

Have to tried making use of RapidStart Services?  This has been setup in the Cronus demonstration company.
