    Hi Roberto,

This will enable to use multiple Stock Keeping Units on a location. E.g. the Baydoor needs to have it enabled.

The Multiple SKU flag on location directives is used for Put work type location directives that are locating a work unit that consists of multiple items.  For example, if a sales order work unit has multiple picks for 2 or more items, then the put location directive used to put to baydoor, staging, ect. will have to have the Multiple SKU flag checked.

Note that the same work would not need the pick location directive to have Multiple SKU flag checked because each item for pick work lines is being located separately, whereas the put is being located for all items associated to the work at once.

    Hello,

sorry, I will use this topic to ask about my problem.

So, if I check "Multi SKU" in Location directive, then I can't Edit query (button becomes not clickable). Why is that?  Now the first MultiSKU directive has no query and is valid for all put lines. But I need to direct different orders to different baydoors, how can I do it?

The best explanation I read for the 'Query' button being greyed-out on Multiple SKU Location directives was that it was because of 'technical reasons'!

To do what you want, you need to use the Work templates. Create a work template and location directive for each different type of order (for each different baydoor). Use the Directive code on the work template to tell AX which Location directive to use.

That's really bad news :(. So, if I have 10 different work templates and 5 different baydoor rules, I will have to create 5 directives and 5*10 work templates.

Thank you, Guy. I was hoping that we have a fix for this issue.

    Hi Guys,

I understand that Multiple SKU ist required for technical reasons. I assume that the system needs to distingish if one or more "put locations" will be posted in the field Put Location. The mobile device workaround (to write "multiple") does not work here. Here I have an issue and think you might help me.

My warehouse allows parallel picking for sales orders. Because worker are assigned to fixed zones. By work templates I scatter a sales picking order by the zones that are affected. Thus, I order 3 Items, one is stored in Zone1 and the other two are stored in Zone2. The work will be splitted and here comes the problem. The Pick-Work for Worker1 in Zone1 is Multiple SKU NO and the Pick-Work for Worker2 in Zone2 is Multiple SKU YES.

In another thread I read that I should use 2 different Location Directives.

Because I can use query only for SKU NO, that one is sequenced before the SKU YES directive. But what can I do in the head query? Actually I should ask for the number of lines in the corresponding Work Details?

    Hopefully you have an idea.

    Kindest Regards

    Patrick

Hi Patrick, I think you shouldn't specify any values on the query of your Multiple SKU NO directive.

As far as I know, AX will automatically take your Multiple SKU YES directive when the PUT type work has more than one item. If you have only picked one item, then your first location directive should be evaluated.

You shouldn't use PICK-type location directives with Multiple SKU set to YES because, as somebody explained before on this post, every pick line is evaluated individually.
