Is there permissions or duties that are need for the ability to create an Alert.

So I have a user within our D365 system that has everything greyed out once they click on the /Create a custom rule/ button.  Is there a specific piece that I need to add to his role?  Permission to that table?

    You can only create alerts in case the user has full permissions on the table. In case the user should have read-only access, you can consider two work arounds:
    1) Provide temporary higher access and let the user configure the alert.
    2) Let a system administrator set up the alert and change the user who should be alerted on the creation dialog.

    Hi,
    there may be specific permissions required to create an Alert. If your user is experiencing all options being greyed out after clicking on the “Create a custom rule” button, it seems that you need to provide higher permission to the relevant table, which enables users to add or modify data to the corresponding table.
