difference between Dynamics AX 7 and Dynamics 365

Hi all,

Is there any difference between Dynamics AX 7 and Dynamics 365 for operation or both are same just name is different .

any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

    Both are one and the same. AX 7 was initially code named "Rainier", later it was renamed as Dynamics 365 for Operations. Dynamics 365 is a platform which comprises of AX , CRM and Azure managed services and third party apps.
