You could keep it in a virtual warehouse. To be honest it depends what you mean. Are you keeping the stock on your site but it is the vendors until you use it or is it at the vendors and is yours. The liability element is key as well as the visibility of what you want. What does consignment stock mean from your perspective?

According to my knowledge there is nothing comparable available in standard AX2012R3.
However, some partners have created ISV solutions/extensions that can handle that in AX2012R3.
