I am trying to copy and paste a journal entry from excel in GP 2015 but I am unable to do so. Most of the time the paste button is greyed out. Other times it only gives me a validation report with nothing pasted in the Journal window. Other times it gives me an error not privileged to run this report error. Does any one know a solution? I tried to look on line for a solution but when I tried those solutions it doesn't work. Please help.

Thanks,

Ensure you only select the 4 Columns in Excel, and the Lines of data to Paste.

Check focus is in the First Account Number field.

If you are trying to paste intercompany journal entries, the Paste button will remain greyed out as it is not supported with the built-in feature. I also do not remember off the top of my head if multi-currency is fully supported either. Simply put, only non-intercompany Manual Journal Entries are supported for Paste.

If you want to paste entries for intercompany, multicurrency, AP distributions or Sales distributions, I created a simple add-in that adds the feature into GP:

I downloaded this dll add in file, and am still not able to perform the intercompany general journal entry as it says the company ID is not allowed to be changed, telling me to delete the lines and enter again. :(

The add-in is preventing the GP program/application to launch when placed in the Dynamics folder, Add in folder location.  Is there another solution to perform the copy/paste intercompany journal entry successfully in MS Dynamics GP2013R, GP2015, or GP2016?  Thank you for your assistance.

Another user noted you have to perform the following to unblock the add-in:

    dynamicsgpland.blogspot.ca/.../dynamics-gp-crashes-after-installing.html

Other users reported copying it to a USB stick and pasting it back may also remove the security block.

In terms of not being able to change the company ID, that might be a user setup issue within GP. Can you manually change the company ID?

I unblocked the properties so GP launches again.  I can now change the company ID manually, but the user is looking to not have to do this with the huge, multi-line journal entries they're looking to copy and paste.  Any other suggestions?  Thank you.
