generate CIL Access to the path is denied

Hello,

I have an error message during the complete CIL generation.

The overall process takes for about half an hour.

The security seems to be correctly applied as the aos service account has read/write access to the correct folders.

Here is a dump from the log file that was generated in the XppIL folder right after the end of the CIL process :

Finished pass 1 at 5/08/2013 15:12:52
Finished pass 2 at 5/08/2013 15:14:38
Finished pass 3 at 5/08/2013 15:21:17
Finished creating types at 5/08/2013 15:23:16
Access to the path is denied.
Errors: 0
Warnings: 0

After checking the XppIL folder, I can see that the "Dynamics.Ax.Application.dll" file was not updated. The created/modified date time is still the old one...

Does anyone have already experimented such a problem ?

Are generating the IL from the AOS server or some other machine ?

I found a solution to solve the problem.

I simply deleted all the .dll files and .netmodule files located in the folder :

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Server\<AOS_INSTANCE>\bin\XppIL

and ran the full CIL generation again.

    Hi Renaud PAQUAY,

if  You want error file its better to perform parallel compilation .

     the steps is as follows

By using shell you can minimize the time taken to process by increasing the workers.
Go to start>Administrative tools>Microsoft Dynamics Ax 2012 Management shell

Change the default directory to AOS directory

    >cd S:\ERPLITE\Server\yourservername\bin

    Now run the below command

    >.\AXBUILD.EXE XPPCOMPILEALL /S=01 /ALTBIN="C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Client\Bin" /WORKERS=10

Just to add, number of workers is not always the more the better. AxBuild will pick a number based on your hardware config (somewhere around 1 to 1.4x of the number of logical cores I think). Sometimes you actually gain performance by reducing number of cores. (See example: daxmusings.codecrib.com/.../what-you-need-to-know-about-15-minute.html)
