Need to display values from multiple entities in a view - is there a step by step description of building a workflow to do that?

I have the same question (0)

Do you want to create a view or workflow?

Answer for view, refer this thread: community.dynamics.com/.../creating-a-view-using-multiple-entities

    Hi partner,

D365 provides OOB function to allow us create a view with multiple entities, but the entities should have relationships between each other.

You could refer to this blog.

    https://community.dynamics.com/crm/b/xrm/posts/creating-multi-entity-views-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm

If you want to show diferent entities without relationships you could use report or SSRS.

    Hope it helps.

    Best Regards,

    Leo

In a view you can either add fields for the entity itself or directly related entities. For example, you can create an Accounts view that shows the email address of the Primary Contact (there is a direct relationship between the contact and account such that each account has a primary contact).

Other than this, you can't add fields from "any" entity to the view.
