Error Log Report message

I was in the process of closing our fiscal year-end and performed the Check Links in the Financial area.  The File Maintenance Error Log Report printed an error message stating "The reporting ledger for 228943 is not valid; it has been assigned the BASE reporting ledger."  Does anyone know what this means exactly or how/where to fix this??  Thanks.

    Hi,

This is because of some of the GL WORK or OPEN records contain the Ledger ID field as "0", so the check links is setting to the default Reporting Ledger which is BASE for those records. which is correct.

There is nothing to fix as check links has already corrected the record.

    Regards,

    Santosh G

Thanks.  There is an open journal entry batch that has no transactions, $0.  I'm not able to delete it though.  Is there a way to delete that?

If Check Links didn't repair the batch also, it will have to be deleted directly from the table - SY00500 - in the company database.  Leaving the batch there won't affect your year end close process though - it will just throw a warning that the batch hasn't been posted.

Thanks.  To delete it from the table in the company database, is that something that I'll need our support consultant to do?
