Setting Recipients on an Email Template

Hi There,

I am currently building that sends an email out when a visit/task is marked as completed and am sending an email out that is based on an email template.

When I am setting the properties for the email to be sent out, there isn't anywhere that I can specify who the email should go to. I am sure I am just missing something obvious, but it isn't in the email template setup and I can't find it anywhere in the properties within the workflow.

"I am currently building _______________ that sends " did you forget to fill in this blank?

If you are building a workflow (process) that creates and sends an email using an email template the To: field is not in the email template but in the set properties of the "create new message" action in the process (workflow).

Not sure this what you are doing, but thats what I do to use email templates.

I don't remember the "I am currently building ______________ that sends" where would I fill in this blank?

I tried going into the properties of the sent email within the process but there is no option to set the recipients. If I send using a new email instead of a template it appears but when I set the properties of the email template then I don't get that option.

in the first line of your orig post you wrote "I am building that sends". what are you building?

screen images are helpful for others to understand exactly what you see.

Ohhhh gotcha, I am currently building a WORKFLOW that sends emails when a task/visit is marked as completed.

I would love to upload pictures of what I am seeing (or more like what I am not seeing) but this forum doesn't support it as far as I can tell. Should I upload to Imgur or something else instead?

Yes this is exactly what I am trying. I don't have "Organization" in my dropdown for choosing which type of email template I want before setting properties. When I select Task/Visit or other ones and set the properties, I am greeted with the same box to select the template but my options for "To, CC, and BCC" are missing. It just goes "From" to "Template Type"

Hi,

I am using CRM Online version. Have you tried in different browser?

I have selected Organization which is OOB Account Entity I renamed to Organization in my instance.
