    Good morning @rp@n,

Can't you simply do the currency formatting with the symbol in Excel directly?

Trying to do that through AX might not be easy as you might have different companies that use different currencies and symbols, etc.

Also thing about non-finance amount related Excel exports that just export numbers.

In Excel, it takes a couple of seconds doing the formatting...

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi @rp@n,

I think that the legal entity validation is not sufficient.

Imagine that users export inventory data, do you want to have a $, EUR or other currency symbol when exporting those data to Excel?

To overcome those issues, you would need additional checks on the nature of the data that is exported.

I assume that this can quickly get quite complex because you can export almost everything to Excel.

My recommendation would be not doing that and use Excel instead.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

you can customize a display method to retrieve the currency symbol to your form.

if this form is a grid and allowed to export. you can export the amount and symbol easily

    Hi Arpan,

Is it about the currency symbol or the currency (ISO) code? If you want to format the Excel amount column, it would be hard if there are multiple currencies involved. Most companies in the world do use two columns: Currency and Amount. Then they also know what can be summed up in Excel or not.
