Posting Mass amounts of Financial Batches using SQL

I need to post Millions (not kidding) of unposted financial batches. I have been using a macro to select and post one at a time however this taking a very long time. to do. I would like to know if there is a way to run a sql script to post the open batches.

Please note , if you haven't already figured out, they do not do financial reports in these companies in gp. We need to post all batches to complete the Company Data Archive process.

Please let me know if there are other ways to do this using Sql...

    Hi Brenda

Envisage Software has a tool that can post up to 8 batches at the same time, making the overall posting process x8 faster. So instead of taking 10+ days to post 1 million batches, it will take a little over 1 day.

In SQL Server, you can use a format file in bulk-import operations. A format file maps the fields of the data file to the columns of the table. www.myallsaversconnect.net/

Assuming these are unposted Single Use journal entries/batches.

What about using SQL to update the Batch Number in the unposted GL table so there are several entries in a single batch?  I wouldn't put a million JEs in a single batch, but you could do some grouping.)

Once you did the SQL update, you'll need to run the Reconcile Batch routine in GP prior to posting.

Normal disclaimers go here:  Backup, run in test first, etc. ...
