Restricting users from posting into specific GLs in d365 fno

Hello 

we have requirement from the client, user who have the ability to raise a journal  should not have ability to Post the journal/

user should be allowed to raise and submit the journal, but restriction must be set from posting the journal

for Example:-

lets us take the Eg-general journal , where user should be able to raised journal ,but user should be restricted from   posting the journal

customer payment journal  

workflow step1 :-4 worker(user1, user 2, user 3 & user 4)
Workflow Step2,:- (user 5 will approver the step 2
step 3 only user 6 & user 7 only should have the access for posting of the journal

please help me with solution

    As Hana mentioned, if you select this parameter, users that are not selected will not be able to post this journal.

    but the requirement is specific user or user groups who created the journal should not be able to Post the journal,

    Hi vishal,

    Posting restriction feature allow to determine whether specific user or user groups can post only journals that they create. You can use Journal names for posting restriction setup. The article about journal posting restrictions is found for you, and it described the detailed steps, you can set according to the steps:

    1. Navigate to General ledger > Journal Setup > Journal names.
    2. Select Journal names for which you want to apply Posting restriction.
    3. Click on Posting restrictions button.
    4. To set up posting restrictions by user group, select By user group. Select the check box next to the user group name.
    5. To set up posting restrictions by user, select By user. Select the check box next to the username.
    6. Click OK to apply the restrictions and close the form.
