Hi,
Yesterday I added a Query as datasource to a view in Dynamics Ax 2009 and none of the fields on the Query was available as field for the View and what it is worse, the AOS starting crashing....
Now the question, are Queries supported as datasources in Views? I wanted to use them as it seems that in Ax2009 using Tables as datasources you cannot change the join type between tables.

yes of course, you can use query as a datasource to a view.
The AOS crash might be due to a different reason.
Try looping the query in a job to see if the query is the cause of AOS crash.
